There are tons of places to buy art supplies, but you will want to save a little money buying them. It is rare that I buy art supplies at full retail prices.
If you are buying locally, you should watch the sales and use coupons. Michaels regularly has 40% off all art supplies, or buy one – get one free deals. They have a 40% off one item coupon every week. So does Hobby Lobby. Jo-Ann’s has regular coupons too. I don’t know about ACMoore, since they refuse to open one where I live. Rude.
I have the store apps on my phone. I whip it out at the register, and no worries about clipping or saving coupons. The scan it right then and there.
There are also some great online stores for discount art supplies. They sell name brands at a discount. This is fabulous if you are doing a project in a class or with your small group, or even with your kids at home.
The three I mainly use are:
Cheap Joes Art Stuff http://www.cheapjoes.com
Jerry’s Artarama http://www.jerrysartarama.com I have bought a LOT of canvasses from this website.
Create For Less http://www.createforless.com
If you google discount art supplies, you will find a lot more.
Don’t pay full price!
I’m looking at purchasing a bible for art journaling – I was curious to know which one you are using? Do you have a link for it? Thanks! – Danielle, Niskayuna, NY

Danielle, I am using a journaling Bible that I bought several years ago at my local Family Christian bookstore. It is NIV (Zondervan) and the cover is turquoise and green. I can’t find anything like it currently on the market. I keep hearing that some new versions of journaling bibles will be available in October, but I don’t know details. Have you asked in the Facebook group: Journaling Bible Community?
